So I have decided to take the plunge and look into internet marketing. And I think I have opened up a can of worms…
Type “internet marketing” into Google and you get 47 million hits! And every page seems to be a new revolutionary internet marketing course/software/coaching program and they all claim to be better than the other. Plus, the number of “gurus” that claim they can turn you into internet millionaires is phenomenal!
In the short amount of time that I have started exploring internet marketing, I have learnt that each of these gurus promise the same things:
- They all claim to have the “product” that will make you tonnes of money on the net
- They have all spent mountains of money on internet products in the past that have been useless
- Many of them were broke, destitute, had only $2.50 left in their bank account (if they even had a bank account – I think one of them apparently had his identity stolen so couldn’t open a bank account)
- Their product is a “must have” product that has made a heap of people rich or even millionaires
- There is only a limited number of these products available
- They seem to promote each other’s products
- They have loooonng sales letters
And I have to say, I have been sooooo tempted to buy some of their products. Their sales letters are extremely well written and you feel like you NEED to buy it otherwise you’ll be behind the eight ball.
I do need help as I am not technologically literate and definitely not internet savy. So its a matter of trying to work out which product/guru suits and which I trust. I can’t afford to buy all the products, so I need to be discerning in which ones I try (though most of them have a money back guarantee).
I did try to do a search of the net for reviews of products, but most of the reviews turn out to be people flogging the product as affiliates, but under the guise of a “review” of that product.
So its back to doing more research and making up my own mind as to which product(s) to trial – stay tuned!
